Bajaj Avenger Street 160 gets new paint schemes and updated safety features.
Bajaj has launched the new Avenger Street 160 with ABS, priced at Rs. 82,253/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). The bike replaces the old Avenger 180 and is now fitted with a single-channel ABS unit. Avenger Street 160 is available with two new paint schemes, Spicy Red and Ebony Black to make it look fresh in the market.
The bike is now fitted with a 160.4cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 14.7 BHP and 13.5 Nm of torque at 7000 RPM. The new 160cc engine will come mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The power output is better than the Avenger 150 and identical to the Avenger 180. The power-to-weight ratio has enhanced significantly to 103.3 PS/Ton from the erstwhile Avenger 150 at 98 PS/Ton.
Bajaj has upgraded the front disc to a 260 mm front disc that will provide a good amount of stopping power. Also, with the single-channel ABS unit, the braking will be safer. The bike is underpinned by the same diamond frame and the bike is rested on traditional front forks and twin shocks at the rear. The bike has an upright seating position with low slung seats to maximise riding comfort. The Avenger Street 160 has a kerb weight of 150 kg and a ground clearance of 177 mm.
