Tata Motors plans to upgrade the Nano in order to ensure the sales of the world’s cheapest car catches up with expectations. The upgraded Tata Nano is said to feature power steering, 5-speed gear box, adjustable seats and will be launched early next year. The company says it is acting on customer feedback which has been collected by its dealers. The upgraded Nano is currently being tested at the company’s Sanand facility in Gujarat. There will be a slight hike in the Nano’s prices post the incorporation of these additional features but the Nano will still be the cheapest car in the world, a tag which has made it world famous.
