Honda omits LED headlamps and other features from the VX variant of the City.
Honda has recently deleted some features from its City VX. The automaker first started by discontinuing the S variant of the City last month. The company has now deleted the LED headlamps from the VX trim. However, it is fitted with LED DRLs and LED tail lights, which have been added recently.
Inside, Honda has switched the leather upholstery for fabric on the seats, armrests and door trims. The dashboard no longer gets the soft touch and stitched effect that provided the extra bit of luxurious feel to the cabin. Also, the gunmetal trim on the window switch panels has also been removed. Rear seat pockets are now absent on the VX trim, adding to the list of omissions made to the vehicle.
In terms of safety, Honda is offering dual front airbags, Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) and ISOFIX mounts as standard across all the trims. The top variant of the City comes with 6 airbags to provide extra safety.
The Honda City is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine. This motor gives out 117 BHP and 145 Nm of torque, with a fuel efficiency of 17.4 km/l. A 1.5-litre i-DTEC diesel engine is also on the cards, which churns out 99 BHP and 200 Nm of torque, delivering fuel efficiency of 26.6 km/l.
