The new ABS variant of the Thunderbird is priced at Rs. 1.54 lakhs.
Royal Enfield is currently updating their lineup with ABS. The company has now launched this new variant of the Thunderbird, the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 ABS. It is currently priced at Rs. 1.54 lakhs (ex-showroom). The on-road price, including registration and a 5-year warranty pack brings up the price to Rs. 1.84 lakh.
The Thunderbird 350 ABS is a cruiser bike which is designed prioritising the comfort of the rider. Its relaxed ergonomics also accommodate a large fuel tank, backrest and a butterfly handlebar. It is also equipped with dual-channel ABS.
The helm of the bike features a twin-pod semi-digital instrument placed in alignment with the projector headlight, split seats and an LED taillight. Telescopic front forks and twin gas-charged shock absorbers at the back make up the suspension setup.
The motorcycle is powered by the same 346cc, single-cylinder engine that powers the entire range of 350 motorcycles from Royal Enfield. The four-stroke carburetted motor is tuned to produce a maximum power of 19.8 BHP at 5250 RPM and developing 28 Nm of peak torque at 4000 RPM. It comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox which is connected via a chain drive.
Besides the ABS variants on the Thunderbird and the Classic range, the rear disc version of the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 also has been launched. However, ABS, a safety feature, is yet to be introduced on the Bullet 350 and will be offered as a standard fitment from April 1, 2019.
