Tata Tiago to get a top-spec variant with larger alloy wheels and new headlights.
Tata Motors has been adding new variants to their entire range of models now. Recently the company has introduced the Hexa XM+, the Tiago NRG and the Tigor XZ+. The company might introduce a top-spec variant for the Tiago to take on the likes of the recently launched Hyundai Santro.
Tata is now working on a top-spec variant of the Tiago hatchback. This car was spied with cosmetic changes near the company’s Pune facility. The Tiago gets similar grille and projector headlights from the recently launched Tigor. It will also get 15-inch alloy wheels from the new Tigor petrol version.
The Tiago was spied in a Titanium Grey paint scheme with a contrast black roof. However, there are no images of the interior but we can expect minor updates. The range topping Tiago is expected to get a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the new Tigor.
The Tata Tiago gets two engine options – a 1.2-litre petrol engine that produces 85 PS and 114 Nm of torque and a 1.05-litre diesel engine that develops 70 PS and 140 Nm of peak torque. Both the engines are mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox while it also offers an AMT gearbox in petrol versions.
