BMW has launched the F 850 GS and F 750 GS in India with a price tag of Rs. 11.95 lakhs.
After the much-awaited launch of the G 310 GS and G 310 R, today BMW Motorrad has launched its middle-weight adventure bikes in India, the F 850 GS and F 750 GS. The BMW GS series is made for adventure travel and mild enduros. The F 850 GS and F 750 GS will be competing with the already famous Triumph Tiger 800 and Ducati Multistrada 950. BMW has priced the F 850 GS and F 750 GS from Rs. 11.95 lakhs and Rs. 12.95 lakhs respectively (all prices, ex-showroom).
Both these bikes come with a completely new design to offer maximum comfort to the rider. It comes with new LED headlight along with DRLs which can be switch on and off automatically or manually. The fuel tank is placed in a way to improve centre of gravity. The bike gets BMW multi-controller to control the Connectivity, a 6.5-inch full-colour TFT display along with Bluetooth connection.
It comes with two riding modes – Rain and Road along with optional riding modes – Dynamic and Enduro. It also gets Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), BMW Motorrad ABS, Automatic Stability Control (ASC), cruise control, etc. With all this, the bike gives full confidence to the rider to test the limits.
The BMW F 850 GS is powered by a 853cc, in-line 2-cylinder that churns out 95 BHP at 8250 RPM and the BMW F 750 GS is powered by the same 853cc, in-line 2-cylinder but this one produces 77 BHP at 7500 RPM and both get a 6-speed gearbox.
BMW has recently launched their entry level G 310 GS and G 310 R, both the bikes received a great response in India. While Triumph has revamped the Tiger 800 series couple of months back. Now we shall see what BMW F 850 GS and F 750 GS can do.
