Off-road bikes from Suzuki ranges from 50cc to 450cc but are not road legal.
Suzuki has decided to offer their range of dirt bikes in India. There will be four dirt bikes starting from 50cc all the way up to 450cc but these motorcycles will come via the CBU route. These bikes will not be street legal as they will not have a headlight, tail-light and turn indicators. These motorcycles are meant to be used in private places or in competitions.
The smallest of all, the Suzuki DR-Z50 has a seat height of 560 mm and weighs 54 kgs. Powering this bike is a 49cc four-stroke, single-cylinder air-cooled engine. The next in the range is the Suzuki RM-Z250, which is equipped with a fully adjustable KYB suspension. It has a 250cc four-stroke, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor. With a seat height of 955 mm and kerb weight of just 106 kgs, it will be best for new motocross riders.
The Suzuki RM-Z450 gets a 449cc four-stroke, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. The seat height on this is 960 mm and kerb weight is 112 kgs. The RMX450Z comes with the same engine as its sibling but gets an additional headlight to satisfy the bug inside you, who wants to tame the trails at night.
These dirt bikes will compete with Kawasaki’s dirt bike offerings in the Indian market. The base DR-Z50 is priced at Rs. 2.65 lakhs. The mid-range RM-Z250 will cost you Rs. 7.43 lakh, the RM-Z450 is available for Rs. 8.40 lakh and the RMX450Z can be yours for Rs. 8.49 lakh.
