The Tata Tiago NRG will be launched on September 12, it is a cross hatch with rugged body kit.
The Tata Tiago NRG has been leaked. It is a cross version of the Tiago hatchback that comes with a rugged body kit and high ground clearance. The word NRG is derived from Energy and Tata will launch the new version of the Tiago on 12th September. It will be coming with both diesel and petrol engine options but no AMT.
The changes are cosmetic apart from the tuned suspension and raised ground clearance, which is now 180 mm from the regular Tiago’s 170 mm. The addition of the body kit will slightly increase the length and width of the car too. There are blacked out elements on the outside, roof rails, blacked out roof, smoked out headlamps along with new 14-inch wheels that add to the ruggedness of the cross hatch.
The interiors also get some visual changes that includes Denim inspired seat fabric and orange highlights. The car will be getting touchscreen infotainment system with 8-speaker Harman audio system and navigation as well. Tata is offering three dual colour options – Malabar Silver, Canyon Orange and Fuji White.
Powering the Tata Tiago NRG will be a 1.2-litre Revotron petrol motor that produces 85 PS and 114 Nm along with a 1.05-litre Revotorq diesel engine that produces 70 PS and 140 Nm. Both the engines will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission while AMT is not expected anytime soon. We expect Tata to price it at a premium over the Tiago.
