2018 BMW 6-Series GT diesel launched in India, priced from Rs. 66.50 lakhs.
The 2018 BMW 6-Series GT diesel has been finally launched in India with prices starting from Rs. 66.50 lakhs (ex-showroom, India). The 6-Series GT is available in two variants – Luxury Line and M Sport. The vehicle was launched with a petrol engine option earlier this year.
Powering the 2018 BMW 6-Series GT diesel is a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder, TwinPower Turbo unit that produces 265 HP of power at 4000 RPM and 620 Nm of torque at 2000-2500 RPM. The oil-burner comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The car accelerates from 0-100 km/hr in just 6.1 seconds and gets five driving modes – Sport, Comfort, Comfort+, Eco Pro and Adaptive. Additionally, the vehicle also gets Launch Control function as standard.
The 6-Series GT Luxury Line is more comfort-oriented while the M Sport variant gets aggressive and sporty design elements. Up front, you get the signature kidney grille finished in chrome for the Luxury Line trim and in gloss black for the M Sport variant. Adaptive LED headlights with LED DRLs, frameless doors and LED tail-lights are standard across both the models. The Luxury Line gets 18-inch alloy wheels while the M Sport variant gets M light alloy wheels measuring 19-inches. Additionally, the M Sport 630d trim gets illuminated M door sill finishers, M Aerodynamics package, M Sport brake calipers finished in Dark Blue and car key with an exclusive M logo.
The cabin of the 630d is identical to the petrol 630i variant. Standard features across both the grades of the 630d are ambient lighting, 4-zone climate control AC, BMW Individual Headliner in Anthracite, electrically adjustable front and rear seats, 12.3-inch all-digital instrument display, panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch touchscreen iDrive infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth, 3D Navigation and gesture control, 16-speaker Harmon Kardon Surround Sound system, R/C parking, Rear Seat Entertainment Professional, wireless charging and 360 degree surround view cameras. The M Sport variant additionally gets comfort seats with lumbar support for driver and front passenger.
Safety features on offer are multiple airbags, ABS with BA, Crash Sensor, DSC, DTC, ISOFIX child seat mounts, automatic wipers and headlights and runflat tyres with reinforced sidewalls.
