Tata showcased the E-Vision EV concept at the 88th Geneva International Motor Show and made the entire automobile fraternity go wow! In fact, the E-Vision EV concept has got such a positive response that MotorBeam’s video did more than a million views in just 2 weeks time. Now, the sedan has been spied under natural light for the first time. The E-Vision sits on the OMEGA platform derived from the Land Rover Discovery’s platform and is said to spawn a mid-size sedan to rival the Honda City, Maruti Ciaz and Hyundai Verna.

The Tata E-Vision EV concept boasts of Tata’s IMPACT 2.0 design language and looks stunning in this concept avatar. How much of this goes into the production car is what remains to be seen. The homegrown automaker has revealed that the electric vehicle is capable of doing the 0-100 km/hr sprint in under 7 seconds with a top speed of 200 km/hr! Other technical specifications of the EV are yet to be disclosed.

Design highlights of the EV are the large grille underlined by Tata’s signature ‘Humanity Line’, slim LED headlights, sleek rear-view mirrors, 21-inch alloy wheels and the flush-fitting door handles. Tata is yet to confirm an E-Vision based production model for India and is currently working on the production models of the H5X concept (SUV) and the 45X concept (premium hatchback).
