2018 Maruti Ertiga gets a brand new 1.5-litre K15B petrol motor, will be unveiled in Indonesia tomorrow.
The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga’s engine specifications and the brochure scans have been doing rounds on the internet ahead of the unveiling tomorrow at the Indonesia International Motor Show. The MUV will be offered in seven different colours including two new colours – Metallic Magma Grey and Pearl Glorious Brown. The second-generation Ertiga is expected to be launched in India this August.
The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will come powered by a brand new K15B 1.5-litre VVT four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 104.7 PS of power and 138 Nm of torque. However, transmission options remain the same as before and include a 5-speed MT and a 4-speed AT. Suzuki claims a mileage of 18.06 km/litre for the manual transmission variant and 16.73 km/litre for the automatic transmission variant. The vehicle measures 4395 mm in length, 1735 mm in width and 1690 mm in height. While the wheelbase (2740 mm) is identical to that of the previous model, the company has reduced the ground clearance from 185 mm to 180 mm.
Coming to the interior and features, the 2018 Maruti Ertiga employs the same dashboard as seen on the new Maruti Dzire. However, the Ertiga gets a beige and brown dashboard as opposed to the black and beige setup found in the Dzire. Like the Dzire, the Ertiga’s flat-bottom steering wheel gets a wood inlay but comes finished in brown. The air vents and instrument panel have a new design and there is also a 6.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system flanked by large black bezels. Having said that, the carmaker seems to have omitted the automatic climate control system even in the second-generation Ertiga.
Other features on offer are projector headlights, LED tail-lights (which look inspired from Volvo cars), new 15-inch alloy wheels, push button start, tilt steering, driver’s seat height adjustment and a 4-speaker audio system.
