2018 Honda Amaze bookings commence in India, scheduled to be launched in May 2018.
Honda has started accepting pre-launch bookings for the 2018 Amaze in India. The second-generation Honda Amaze is scheduled to be launched sometime in May 2018 and bookings for the same can be made at all authorised Honda dealerships across the country for a token amount of Rs. 21,000/-.
The new Amaze is built on an all-new platform and will carry over the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. The 1.2 petrol motor makes 88 PS of power and 109 Nm of torque while the 1.5 diesel outputs 100 PS of power and 200 Nm of torque. Both the powerplants get a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard, however, the 2018 Amaze will feature a segment-first diesel-CVT engine-gearbox combination. This will be Honda’s first diesel engine combined with an advanced CVT and India will be the first market to get this technology.
Both the exteriors and interiors of the compact sedan have been revamped. The exteriors look more prominent now and resemble the City while the interiors are more premium and spacious than before. The vehicle was launched in India in 2013 and was the first Honda car to get a diesel engine. The Japanese automaker has sold over 2.57 lakh units of the Amaze in India.
