Jaguar XE, XF Ingenium petrol launched in India, the new 2.0-litre motor is offered in 197 HP and 247 HP tunes on both the XE and XF.
Jaguar has launched the XE and XF sedans in India with a new 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol engine. Prices for the Jaguar XE Ingenium petrol and the XF Ingenium petrol starts at Rs. 35.99 lakhs and Rs. 49.80 lakhs (both prices, ex-showroom) respectively.
The new 2.0-litre Ingenium (all-aluminium) petrol powertrain is lightweight and efficient and is offered in two states of tune for both the XE and XF – 197 HP version and 247 HP version. The 197 HP powertrain is offered on the XE Pure and Prestige trims and the XF Prestige while the range-topping XE Portfolio and XF Portfolio get the 247 HP powerplant. The 2.0-litre engine comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with Jaguar Sequential Shift and All Surface Progress Control.
The new Ingenium petrol motor uses the company’s low friction all-aluminium-intensive design to give excellent thermal properties and lightweight construction for enhanced efficiency and vehicle dynamics. There are twin scroll turbos to reduce the lag and the Continuously Variable Valve Lift technology improves air delivery to the engine, thereby providing fully variable control of the intake valve lift for optimum power and torque across the rev range.
