Yamaha has showcased the Fascino Special Edition at the ongoing 2018 Auto Expo, no mechanical changes to the scooter.
The Yamaha Fascino Special Edition scooter has been showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. While there are no mechanical changes done to the scooter, the cosmetic changes are in abundance. The retro scooter is likely to go on sale in the coming few weeks’ time and could command a slight premium for all the extra bling it carries.
The Fascino Special Edition features a ton of chrome on it. The entire front mudguard is of chrome, the centre portion of the front apron gets chrome finishing and the portion right above the tail-light also gets a chrome applique. Apart from the chrome detailing, the scooter also gets kind of gold-looking appliques on the front apron, instrument cluster and near the tail-light. There are new graphics and a dual-tone seat to match the scooter’s retro appeal while the rear suspension comes in painted in gold.
Other highlights in the scooter are the two-tone mirrors, aluminium brake levers and a new brown and silver-coloured handlebar grips. The vehicle continues to be powered by the same 113cc, Blue-Core, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 7.1 PS of power and 8.1 Nm of torque. The motor comes mated to a CVT automatic gearbox.
