Hero XPulse 200 production-ready bike unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo, launch this year.
Premium bikes and scooter segment is the current happening space in India where every other automaker wants to pitch in and grab a significant market share. Hero MotoCorp is no different. It recently unveiled the Xtreme 200R and now at the 2018 Auto Expo in Delhi, has unveiled the production-ready XPulse off-roader bike, its second offering in the premium segment.
The concept of the XPulse was first showcased at the 2017 EICMA in Milan. The dual-purpose bike will come powered by the same 200cc mill we recently saw in the Xtreme 200R, however with the addition of fuel-injection (FI) technology. Mated to a 5-speed gearbox, the 200cc single-cylinder motor makes 18.4 PS of power and 17.1 Nm of torque. The bike gets first-in-class Turn-by-Turn Navigation, dual-purpose tyres, fly screen, high-set front mudguard, fully-digital instrument cluster, full-LED headlamps, spoked wheels, luggage rack and knuckle guards.
Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks up front and a monoshock (with 170 mm of travel) at the rear. Disc brakes at both the ends will take care of anchorage and single-channel ABS will be offered as well. Other highlights of the XPulse are the 21-inch front and an 18-inch wheel at the rear and 220 mm ground clearance.
