Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX has been launched at the ongoing 2018 Auto Expo in Greater Noida along with the H2 SX SE.
Besides a strong foothold in the market, Kawasaki’s diverse product portfolio has helped the Japanese brand survive the most difficult of times in the Indian market. The leading premium bike manufacturer now looks forward to cement its position with a slew of new launches in the country. As a first step in this direction, Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX and H2 SX SE have been launched at a price of Rs. 21.8 lakhs and Rs. 26.8 lakhs respectively (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi) at the Auto Expo.
Unveiled at the EICMA show in 2017, the Ninja H2 SX is a sports tourer derived from the supersport Ninja H2. Powered by a second-generation 998cc inline-4 supercharged motor, the Ninja H2 SX is the world’s first supercharged touring motorcycle. The engine develops 200 PS of power at 11,000 RPM and 137.3 Nm of torque at 9500 RPM. Paired to a 6-speed gearbox, the motor makes use of revised gearing and compression ratio to offer improved pep at lower spectrum of the RPM range.
To combine supersport dynamics with comfortable high-grade seats, large windscreen and other tourer-friendly bits, the Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX and SX SE come with an improved trellis frame but share suspension and braking hardware with the Ninja H2. The SX SE variant of the fully-faired motorcycle comes with a 19-litre fuel tank and is 4 kgs heavier than the standard H2 SX.
Feature list on this one is pretty expansive consisting of LED cornering lights, Kawasaki launch control mode, TFT instrument console, bi-directional quick shifter and much more. The Ninja H2 SX variant makes do with slightly lesser kit but is similar in all other aspects to the H2 SX SE. The Ninja H2 SX gets a black colour scheme while the Ninja Green is exclusive to the SX SE variant.
Although it misses out on some interesting equipment, the Ninja H2 SX retains a lot of essentials including cornering ABS, cruise control, three-level traction control, inertial measurement unit (IMU) and an all-LED lighting setup. Available with a host of touring accessories including saddle bags and different seat options, the two motorcycles have been launched in the country as full imports.
