Maruti Dzire recalled in India for a faulty rear wheel hub with 21,494 units affected.
One of Maruti’s best-selling cars, the Dzire has been recalled in India for a fault in the rear wheel hub. Approximately 21,494 units of the compact sedan manufactured between 23rd February 2017 to 10th July 2017 have been affected. The company has issued a notification about the recall on its website which suggests that owners of affected vehicles are being contacted since 3rd October.
Owners are also requested to get their vehicles for inspection and also to get the faulty part replaced. The
inspection and replacement will be done free of cost. Owners of the Dzire can check if their cars are affected or not by entering their Vehicle Identification Number (MA3 followed by 14 digits) on Maruti’s official website.
Maruti Suzuki had launched the third generation Dzire compact sedan earlier this year and it has been one of the best-sellers for the company. Since the last five months, the compact sedan has been averaging sales of over 20,000 units a month and the waiting period too ranges from 3-5 months.
