The upcoming Hyundai Elite i20 facelift’s interior and automatic gearbox has been spied.
Test mules of the Hyundai Elite i20 facelift have been repeatedly spotted but this is the first time the car’s interior has been spied, also revealing the automatic gearbox. While Hyundai hasn’t confirmed on the launch timeline of the premium hatchback, it is expected to be unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo.
The spy images reveal the dual-tone black and beige dashboard and matching black and beige seat fabrics. The three-spoke multi-function steering wheel is a similar unit as seen in the current car. Also seen in the spy image are an armrest, two cup holders and a touchscreen infotainment system. Going by the gear lever, this is the automatic variant. One notable point is that the current automatic is available only in the Magna trim which does not get a touchscreen AVN.
The facelifted Elite i20 will come powered by the same 1.2 and 1.4-litre petrol and 1.4-litre diesel engines. The 1.2-litre petrol makes 83 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox while the 1.4-litre petrol is good for 100 PS of power and 132 Nm of torque and comes mated to a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The 1.4-litre diesel, on the other hand, produces 90 PS of power, 220 Nm of torque and comes paired to a 6-speed manual gearbox.
