All the 250 units of the first batch of Skoda Octavia RS earmarked for India have been sold out!
Skoda has sold out all the 250 units of the Octavia RS allotted for the Indian market in just one month of its launch. The performance sedan is currently priced at Rs. 25.48 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Jan Repa, Head of Strategic Product Planning, Skoda Auto India, says, “We have already sold out the first batch of the Skoda Octavia RS 230. The next batch will come in early-2018.”
The car comes imported via the CKD route and is based on the MQB platform. To differentiate it from the regular Octavia, Skoda has given the Octavia RS an aggressive looking front bumper, larger 17-inch two-tone machined alloy wheels with red brake callipers, rear spoiler, stainless steel exhaust tips and of course, that 2.0-litre TSI motor.
Interior gets an all-black layout with a flat-bottom steering wheel, 9.2-inch Columbus touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and red stitching on the steering wheel and seats.
The 2.0-litre TSI petrol motor churns out 230 HP of power and 350 Nm of torque. This motor comes paired to a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The Octavia RS cracks the 0-100 km/hr run in just 6.8 seconds and has a top speed of 250 km/hr. The vehicle also gets an updated suspension setup and a wider track at the rear.
