The Mahindra Gusto RS has been launched in India with a sticker price of Rs. 48,180/- (ex-showroom, Delhi). Considering Mahindra’s statement given last month, that it would exit the mass-market 2-wheeler segment and focus on premium bikes, the Gusto RS could be the automaker’s last product to be launched in the mass market segment. It probably is stock clearance.
The company is also offering a cashback of Rs. 6000/- on the new scooter if purchased through the PayTM app. However, this offer is valid until 20th October 2017 only.
Mechanically there aren’t any changes to the Gusto RS. Powering it is a 109cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke motor that produces 8 HP of power and 9 Nm of torque. The engine comes paired to a CVT automatic gearbox. The scooter continues to get features like height adjustable driver’s seat, remote flip key, find-me lamps and guide lamps.
Suspension duties are via telescopic forks with air springs up front and hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. The scooter comes with 130 mm drum brakes both at the front and rear.
