Honda CBR250R production numbers are 128 units and 98 units in April and May 2017 respectively.
Honda has taken off the CBR250R and CBR150R motorcycles from their official website and since April they have not been on sale in India due to the BS4 emission norms. Both the Honda CBR250R and CBR150R were BS3 compliant while the complete range was updated to meet the new emission norms.
However, SIAM sales and production data reveal that 226 units of the Honda CBR250R were manufactured in this financial year in India (128 in April 2017 and 98 in May 2017). However it isn’t clear whether Honda has manufactured BS4 versions of the CBR250R or the same BS3 versions, but what’s clear is that Honda had manufactured these CBR250Rs for export markets.
Honda sells the CBR300R and CBR250RR in international markets and yet hasn’t announced any plans of them launching in India, and we expect they will not be coming in the near future too. However, what enthusiasts in the country will have to settle with is a BS4 compliant CBR250R. We also expect Honda to launch the CBR150R alongside the CBR250R, the Japanese automaker is yet to confirm this.
The CBR250R is powered by a 249cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine that is good for 26 HP and 23 Nm of torque. This motor comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Honda also offers ABS on the CBR250R as an option and the bike competes with the KTM RC 200, Duke 250 and Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 in the Indian market.
