Honda has unveiled the Jazz facelift in Japan and it won’t be launched in India in 2017.
Honda has unveiled the facelift version of the Jazz for the Japanese market. The company states that the sales of the updated hatchback will commence in Japan by the end of June this year. The Jazz was launched in India in 2015 and it has been getting decent demand, however, Honda won’t be launching the updated version in India this year at least but we can expect it to be launched here in 2018.
In terms of design, the car has undergone some minor changes. The front bumper is redesigned and is wider than before. The headlamps have also been tweaked and you also get LED DRLs now. The grille gets a large piano-black accent with a chrome strip below it. At the rear, you get LED tail lamps and a revised bumper.
However, the interior gets hardly any noticeable change, but now gets a dual tone colour scheme. Although we believe, Honda will upgrade the infotainment system to the same unit that is offered on the City facelift and WR-V. The new infotainment system gets MirrorLink connectivity and a better user experience.
The mechanicals will mostly remain unchanged and the Jazz will continue to come with the same 1.2-litre petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engines. The petrol engine gets either a 5-speed manual transmission or a CVT gearbox while the oil-burner gets a 6-speed manual gearbox. The Japan-spec Jazz also gets hybrid tech but it is unlikely to be offered in India.
