India’s leading carmaker Maruti Suzuki has announced their plans of establishising 8-10 new Institutes of Driving Training and Research and around 110 Maruti Driving Schools by 2010.
Maruti Suzuki General Manager R K Parimoo spoke about this new initiative: “There is an urgent need for creating awareness about road safety. As part of our Corporate Social Responsibility activities, we have planned to set up 8-10 IDTRs and 110 MDSs by 2010 across the country.”
They would be charging fees for training as per the financial background of the people being trained at these institutes and plan to train five lakh people within the next three years.
