Hyundai is working on its popular and best selling SUV, the Creta and has plans to launch an updated version next year.
Hyundai will bring in a refreshed Creta later next year and it is expected to get some minor cosmetic changes. The Creta has been selling like hot cakes in India and the compact SUV has been a true success story for the Korean automaker.
The refreshed Creta will get styling changes and it will now get Hyundai’s signature hexagonal grille, and if we were to go by the Brazilian spec Creta, the refreshed Creta will get a newer set of alloys and new horizontal fog lamp units. The interiors too are expected to be tweaked a little.
The refreshed Creta will carry forward the same engine options but it is rumoured that there will also be mild-hybrid technology on offer to increase fuel efficiency. There’s the 1.6-litre CRDI diesel, 1.4-litre CRDI diesel and 1.6-litre petrol engines on offer.
Hyundai also has plans to bring in a new generation of the Creta by 2021. That model is expected to come with 5-seater and 7-seater configurations. However, all our eyes are on the facelifted Creta for now, expect it to come to India later next year.
