The Honda CB Hornet 160R power has dropped from 15.67 HP to 15.04 HP for no apparent reason.
Honda launched the CB Hornet 160R in the year 2015, that replaced the CB Trigger. The bike when launched had a power output of 15.67 HP and 14.76 Nm of torque. However, Honda now has reduced the power figures for the Hornet 160 while the torque figures remain unchanged. The bike now makes 15.04 HP of power.
The Honda CB Hornet 160 is definitely a head-turner when it comes to looks. The fatter rubber at the rear and some flashy colours on offer, makes it grab eyeballs instantly. The motorcycle gets an air-cooled 4-stroke 162.71cc engine that makes 15.04 HP of power and 14.76 Nm of torque. The engine comes coupled to a 5-speed transmission.
The motorcycle was always BS4 compliant since day one of launch so the decrease in power cannot be understood. The Hornet is suspended via telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are via a 276 mm petal disc at the front and an option of drum brakes or a 220 mm petal disc at the rear. Honda has given the Hornet Combi-Brake System (CBS) for added safety. The Suzuki Gixxer rival comes in a choice of four colours and prices for the Hornet 160 start at Rs. 82,095/- (ex-showroom, Delhi).
