The launch of the Benelli TNT 135 in India has been postponed by a few months.
Benelli had showcased the TNT 135 at the 2015 EICMA but it still hasn’t been launched in India. The mini-bike gathered a lot of anticipation and buzz but the company is unsure what type of demand will the bike receive. Honda had launched the Navi mini-bike last year and it found buyers thanks to its relatively low price.
However, the Benelli TNT 135 comes with components like upside-down front forks and a twin-pipe exhaust. It also gets a Trellis frame and fat tyres and due to this, the TNT 135 won’t be exactly cheap. If Benelli prices the bike above Rs. 1.20 lakhs, then it will again have to fight with a lot of tough competition.
Hence, DSK Benelli has postponed the launch of the TNT 135 in India for a few months now and they are conducting an extensive market research to study the feasibility of launching it here.
