Lamborghini has expanded the Huracan line-up in India with the launch of the Performante version.
Lamborghini has launched the Huracan Performante in India at a price of Rs. 3.97 crores (ex-showroom, Delhi). The Huracan Performante recorded a lap time of 6:52:01 at the Nurburgring, 5 seconds quicker than the Porsche 918 Spyder.
The Performante is also the most powerful model in the Huracan line-up. It comes with the same 5.2-litre V10 engine but produces 30 HP and 40 Nm more than the standard version, taking the total power and torque outputs to 640 HP and 600 Nm respectively. The engine is matched to a 7-speed DCT gearbox with a Haldex permanent 4WD system.
The regular Huracan does 0-100 km/hr in 3.2 seconds while the Performante does it in 2.9 seconds. It gets 20-inch Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tyres. Top speed is rated at 325 km/hr. The Performante is also 40 kgs lighter thanks to the carbon fibre and aluminium construction.
A lot of changes have been made to the supercar to make it more aerodynamic. It also gets active flaps which are electrically actuated, on the rear and front spoilers. The rear wing gets an inner channel, offering 750% more downforce than a regular Huracan. The Performante also gets a bronze manifold cover.
