As BS3 bikes can no longer be sold, Royal Enfield dealerships have started receiving BS4 bikes.
Royal Enfield is one of those few 2-wheeler manufacturers which hasn’t seen a decrease in sales for the most part of the past decade. The British brand is posting all time high sales thanks to the Classic 350 being massively popular in the Indian market. The company recently launched new colours for its bikes.
With the BS4 emission norms kicking in, Royal Enfield dealers have started to receive updated bikes which comply with the new emission regulations. They also get AHO but that’s all as no bike gets ABS which the exported models are now equipped with.
The two changes have resulted in an increase in price of all Royal Enfield bikes by Rs. 5000/-. That might sound like a steep increment but considering the popularity of the cruiser motorcycles, it is unlikely to decrease demand. The company will soon launch the fuel-injected version of the Himalayan which is likely to get ABS.
