February 2017 saw Honda leading the pack but Hero enjoying quite a few high slots in the list.
Honda has again beated Hero for the top spot with the Activa out-selling the Splendor. Although Honda is on the top spot, Hero enjoys the second, third and fourth spot with its other commuter bikes. The sales table is self explantory so let’s look at other bikes which haven’t made it to the list.
What is interesting to see is, the Pulsar 150 has sold 36,542 units which makes it a majority seller of the Pulsar range that managed to sell 53,932 units. The Dominar 400 has found 3082 homes and is expected to see sales increase in the coming months. Meanwhile KTM managed to sell 443 units of the Duke 250 while the Duke 200 still manages to be the top seller with 1847 units sold last month. The Duke 390 (sales of the second generation model haven’t commenced) has sold 418 units last month.
Coming to Hero MotoCorp, they managed to sell 0 units of the Karizma last month while the Hunk sold just 90 units. Sales of the Xtreme were low at 1587 units while the Achiever managed to find 8879 homes.
Honda’s Navi sold just 1180 units last month and the Hornet 160R managed a good 11,488 units. The Unicorn 150 did good numbers with 19,895 units sold while the Unicorn 160 just managed 3186 units. The CBR250R sold a decent 432 units while the CBR650F managed 6 units. The CBR150R found a good 916 homes last month.
Kawasaki’s ER-6n and Ninja 650 have been its star performers with 38 units sold last month. While for Royal Enfield, it’s the Classic 350 which accounts for a majority of the sales. The Himalayan sold 491 units while the Thunderbird 500 was the second least seller with 106 units, the Continental GT being the lowest seller of 26 units.
Piaggio sold 2335 units of the Aprilia SR150 and Suzuki managed to find 26,795 buyers of the Access. No units of the Slingshot, Swish and Intruder were sold last month while the Hayabusa sold 22 units.
TVS sold 12,445 units of the Apache 200 while the Scooty Zest just sold 1961 units. Yamaha managed to sell a good 22,287 units of the Fascino while the Ray sold a decent 17,279 units. The Saluto RX sold just 1825 units and the regular Saluto saw sales of 4639 units. The FZ is going strong with 17,075 unit sales while the R15 saw 3726 buyers. The R3 managed to sell just 110 units.
Meanwhile Triumph sold 18 units of the Thunderbird Storm which was also its top-seller last month and the Street Twin managed to find 17 buyers. Harley-Davidson’s top-seller, you guessed it right, was the Street 750 which sold 105 units last month.
