TVS has started BS-IV dispatches of the Apache 200 but there are still no signs of the FI or ABS models.
TVS has started dispatches of BS-IV bikes to its dealerships and in Mumbai, the updated Apache 200 and Jupiter have reached. In certain cities, BS-IV versions of the Apache 160 and Apache 180 have arrived but still there is no signs of the FI or ABS variants of the Apache.
On asking a few dealers in Mumbai, they said they were equally clueless and the company doesn’t inform anything. TVS had launched the Apache 200 on 20th January 2016, it announced both FI and ABS versions at the same time but is yet to start sales of the same.
The TVS Apache 200 BS-IV gets three changes – it’s now BS-IV compliant and gets a BS-IV sticker on the right side belly pan. The headlight gets AHO function and thus the headlight on/off switch has been removed. There is no other change and the motorcycle sees a price hike of Rs. 2700/-. Customers can opt for Pirelli tyres for an additional Rs. 7500/-.
The TVS Jupiter BS-IV has been officially announced and gets no price hike in spite of shift to meet BS-IV emission norms, Sync Braking System and of course AHO. Two new colours were announced but dealers in the Mumbai region were clueless about the same. The rest of the TVS range, including its other scooters and commuters, are yet to be updated to BS-IV, or at least dealers haven’t started to received inventory.
