Another car to have been tested as part of the Safer Cars in India campaign is the Chevrolet Enjoy which is an MPV. Just like other tests, even this time the base variant of the vehicle was chosen. The base variant of the Chevrolet Enjoy doesn’t come with safety features like airbags.
The vehicle scored a 0 star rating for adult occupancy protection and 2 stars for child protection. However, the addition of airbags also wouldn’t have helped much since the vehicle got a poor rating for the structure too. Due to this, injuries for the driver and front passenger can be very high.
Global NCAP officials stated a lot of disappointment on Chevrolet for selling unsafe vehicles in India. As part of this campaign, a lot of vehicles made and sold in India are going to be tested by the Global NCAP and they intend to do this to make buyers aware about safety equipment.
