In a latest crash test by Global NCAP, the Ford Figo Aspire has scored a rating of 3 stars.
Ford Figo Aspire Global NCAP
The Global NCAP has been running a campaign for safer cars in India in 2017 and under that, they have started testing Indian-spec vehicles for their crash worthiness.
The Ford Figo Aspire was tested and it has received a rating of 3 stars for adult protection and 2 stars for child protection. The Figo Aspire gets dual front airbags in every trim and that is one of the factors for this rating. However, the body shell has been given an unstable rating.
The base variants of the Ford Figo Aspire don’t come with seat belt pretensioners. While the protection to the driver and passenger’s head and neck was good thanks to the airbags, the chests had weak protection. Officials from Global NCAP were very happy with Ford’s results. They had earlier tested the previous generation Figo which scored a dismal rating but they are now happy to see things progressing with the automaker. Now, we’ll let the video do the talking.
