Toyota has launched the 2017 Camry Hybrid and it comes with more equipment now.
Toyota has launched an updated version of the Camry Hybrid in India and it is priced at Rs. 31.98 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). The D-segment sedan now comes with some revisions to the exteriors and interiors while mechanicals continue to remain the same.
On the outside, the Camry Hybrid now comes with LED fog lamps. Apart from that, it retains the LED headlamps with DRLs. It also gets a welcome lamp and auto folding & reverse linked ORVMs with memory function. The interiors are similar but a new audio system with 12 JBL speakers has been added. Navigation is also offered now.
Other features include wireless smartphone charger, back guide monitor, power recline rear seats, ventilated front seats, 3-zone automatic AC and sunshades at the rear. The Camry now comes with a total of 9 airbags and also gets TPMS, Emergency Brake Signal, ISOFIX mounts at the rear, VSC with TCS and Hill Start Assist.
The Camry hybrid is powered by a 2.5-litre petrol engine coupled to an electric motor, producing a combined 205 PS of power. The engine is mated to an e-CVT transmission. Fuel efficiency is claimed to be 19.16 km/l. The Camry gets Eco and EV drive modes too. The Camry Hybrid is locally made and hence it gets a subsidy of Rs. 70,000/- by the government under the FAME scheme.
