A turbocharged version of the RE Continental GT has been produced and it has double the torque!
Few years back Royal Enfield launched their first cafe racer, the Continental GT in India. RE bikes are known for being under powered and this motorcycle was no different from the rest. Traditionally cafe racers are known to be bikes with retro looks which have raw power.
As we know many people tend to customise their REs and customisations on the Continental GT are common as cafe racers are easy to modify. Royal Enfield are currently expanding their network far and wide all over the world. During the launch, the company kept a 31 Day Custom Bike Build Off challenge. In this challenge, one bike stood off from the rest and it was a Continental GT. The modifier of the bike was MotoMax and they named the bike Royal Enfield Continental GT T, the most powerful GT till date.
The Royal Enfield Continental GT T gets a RHB31 turbocharger from the Suzuki Jimmy. The GT has got a boost in power and the current output of the bike is 42 HP (from 29.1 HP) while the torque has been doubled to 88 Nm (from 44 Nm). The booster used in this engine is provided by Power Commander V with an Auto-Tune module.
The Continental GT T also gets a solid metal RE badge on the fuel tank. The front mudguard has been shortened, while the rest of the things remain stock. The exhaust has been wrapped around in some kind of fabric as well as the leather tank belt makes the cafe racer bike look appealing.
The Turbocharged RE Continental GT looks good in all aspects. This might just be the most complete RE Continental GT ever made as it has some decent power and looks awesome. The best thing about this is that MotoMax took just 60 hours to make this motorbike.
