Spotted group of vehicles consisted of the Tunland pickup, CS2 passenger van and the Auman truck
Foton vehicles have been spotted in our country with test number plates. It is one the leading commercial vehicle manufacturer in China, and the company wants to enter our country with its offerings. Moreover, it is all set to house a manufacturing plant in India. A group of Foton vehicles was spotted and it consisted of vehicles from different segments.
The pickup was the Foton Tunland and it is a double cab type vehicle. Notably, it is not the first time that the Tunland has been spotted in our country as a unit was seen testing on our roads 3 years back. Available in 2WD and 4WD options, the Tunland consists of a Cummins 2.8-litre diesel motor which is good for producing 161 BHP of power and a huge 360 Nm of torque.
The van in the spotted fleet was the CS2 which is powered by the same engine as that on the Tunland. The 13-seater passenger van is available in three variants outside India and one of them was present in the spotted group of vehicles. The largest of them was the Auman truck which is a transportation oriented vehicle and carries a huge 11.6-litre engine.
