Top 20 selling bikes in September 2016 witnesses massive growth of Yamaha Ray and Suzuki Access while Honda Dream series and Hero Passion show negative growth compared to previous year.
September 2016 has been a positive month for most of the bike makers and record breaking for a couple of them. September is the beginning of the festive season in the Indian market that reflects good numbers in sales before the crazy volume spinning month of October. However, two-wheelers have shown better sales compared to cars last month.
The Honda Activa is spearheading the sales chart month after month this year and continues to do so in September 2016 with over 3 lakh units sold. The Hero Splendor takes the second position with over 2.50 lakh units and the third spot is maintained by the Hero HF Deluxe with 1.31 lakh units followed by Passion under 1 lakh units mark.
Important thing to note is that the Indian bike maker, Hero MotoCorp has reported its highest monthly sales in September 2016 by selling 6,74,961 units last month compared to their last report of highest monthly sales in October 2015 with a total of 6,39,802 units. They’re planning a few more launches very soon to up their game.
Honda has also reported best sales in September 2016 crossing the 5 lakh units mark for the first time in the Indian market. Last month, the Japanese automaker reported 5,69,011 unit sales including exports. Yamaha is witnessing their highest sales this month as well crossing the 1 lakh units mark, thanks to the surge in their scooter demand.
