The Volvo XC90 T8 Hybrid has been launched at Rs. 1.25 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). The hybrid model is efficient without compromising on performance.
Volvo launched the XC90 in India last year and now the automaker has added a hybrid powertrain to the line-up by launching the XC90 T8 Hybrid. The XC90 T8 Hybrid is also known to be the most powerful SUV from Volvo’s stable and it is also the first hybrid SUV to be launched in India.
There are no changes to the exteriors of the XC90 in the T8 trim. It comes with the same styling that looks premium and elegant. The headlights of the XC90 are striking and come with the Thor’s Hammer design. The hybrid variant comes with T8 badging at the rear and an external charging port lid on the left front fender.
The interiors also remain largely unchanged and the car is loaded with features like a 20-speaker audio system, sunroof, air suspension for all wheels, seats draped in Nappa leather, heating and cooling function on all seats, touch screens at the front and rear, tyres with noise cancellation technology and Orrefors crystal gear knob.
The hybrid powertrain combines a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine that is coupled with an electric motor that produces a total power output of 407 HP and 640 Nm of torque. Emissions are claimed to be 49 g/km and the car can go for 40 kms on full electric charge. 0-100 km/hr comes up in 5.6 seconds. The XC90 T8 Hybrid is available only on the top-of-the-line Excellence trim for Rs. 1.25 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi).
