Maruti Suzuki will be carrying out a pan India launch of the Super Carry LCV soon and is setting up a third dealership network. Maruti Suzuki Commercial dealerships will sell the Super Carry.
Maruti Suzuki has made an initial attempt by stepping into the LCV segment and launching their very first LCV, the Super Carry. The Super Carry will attract a lot of Indian commercial vehicle buyers as it holds the Maruti Suzuki brand name behind it. The vehicle was launched in Ludhiana, Ahmedabad and Kolkata some time back and its pan India launch is likely to take place soon.
Kenichi Ayukawa, Managing Director and CEO of the firm, stated that Maruti Suzuki will have a single platform for the sales of their newest LCV, and a true blue team which will help them to get connected with the buyers and increase its sales. The sales of their very first LCV model will start towards the end of this month.
Coming to the numbers, the Maruti Super Carry is powered by a 793cc light-weight and compact 2-cylinder diesel engine which makes 33 PS of power and 75 Nm of torque and comes with a 5-speed manual transmission. The Super Carry is available in two colours – white and silver and is priced between Rs. 4.01 – 4.11 lakhs (ex-showroom). Talking about safety, the Super Carry has front disc brakes with load-sensing proportionate valve (LSPV) which gives the vehicle proper stability while stopping when carrying load.
The Maruti Super Carry is a proper practical vehicle which comes with a very simple and clean design and has been developed understanding the customer requirements and has both power as well as strength. It can carry a payload of 740 kgs in all terrains. The Super Carry delivers a claimed fuel efficiency of 22 km/l with a top speed of 80 km/hr.
The LCV will be sold through a new Maruti Suzuki Commercial dealership network (the third network for Maruti after the regular outlets and NEXA channel). Maruti Suzuki Commercial dealerships will also retail the Omni Flexi, Eeco Flexi and DZire Tour models.
