The much anticipated TVS Akula track bike has been promoted again by the company in order to keep the momentum going before the eventual launch of the motorcycle. The Akula 310 was first showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi.
TVS has always been known to have a well-oiled and hard working advertising and media promotion machinery which ensures that all of the company’s current as well as upcoming products are constantly there in the public’s short-term memory. One of these supremely important products is the Akula 310 full-faired sports bike which has garnered everybody’s appreciation in a very short time. Thus to keep up the hype, TVS has once more advertised the Akula 310 through its Twitter handle.
The TVS Akula 310 has been constantly promoted by the company since its showcase at the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. Now the bike has been featured once more in a Twitter post of the official Apache RTR Twitter handle. The post boasts of different new age technologies being used in the Akula such as the DOHC engine, ram-air induction and aluminium trellis frame. The post mockingly links to #SharkAwarenessDay as Akula in Russian means Shark.
This isn’t the first time the TVS Akula has been publicised by the company in social media. The automaker had earlier launched a video showcasing the various technological features of the motorcycle. Made with the collaboration of BMW, the Akula 310 will be a super-jump for the Indian company, technologically as well as a brand.
The TVS Akula is based on the BMW G310R street-naked bike which has a liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 34 BHP of power. The Akula 310 Concept was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo with full carbon-fibre body fairing, 6-speed gearbox and a bolt-on aluminium frame. TVS was rumoured to be planning a launch of the carbon-fibre faired avatar of the Akula 310 for limited production.
