The sixth generation Ford Mustang has been launched in India, priced at Rs. 65 lakhs and is brought in via the CBU route. The pony car is claimed to be the world’s best selling sports coupe.
The famous American pony car has arrived in India via the CBU route, priced at Rs. 65 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi). Bookings are open in Mumbai and Delhi in the first phase. The Ford Mustang is offered in fastback and convertible body-type options in the international markets but in India, however, it is offered only with the fastback model. The coupe is armed with a massive 5.0-litre Ti-VCT V8 engine mated to a 6-speed Select Shift automatic transmission with paddle shifters, producing a power of 401 PS and mammoth torque output of 515 Nm, top speed being 250 km/hr.
Coming to the exteriors, there are a few noteworthy elements which are quite impressive, like the trademark radiator grille featuring a galloping horse, beautifully finished headlight cluster with LED equipped HID headlamps and 19-inch magnetic gloss paint machined alloy wheels. This is not all, the elegant tail-light design and the sleek profile with well carved fenders adds up to the exemplary design.
Inside, the Ford Mustang GT features an infotainment system with an 8-inch touch-screen with SYNC 2 and ample space for front passengers with a luxuriant finish inside the cabin. The steering wheel as well as the seats are covered with premium leather upholstery, that is highlighted by metallic accents. A lot of chrome has been used inside the cabin with ambient lighting, making it one classy interior with impressive detailing.
For a remarkable on-road performance, the Ford Mustang GT comes with a carefully tuned suspension system and performance brakes. Using a highly efficient braking mechanism and an advanced electronic stability program and other traction control functions, the Mustang is a driver’s delight.
