Earlier, only the VXi and ZXi variants were offered with automatic transmission while the ZXi+ variant will get the automatic option with this update.
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz was launched last year and became a hit in no time while it sold 60,000 units in just ten months of its launch. A number of new variants were launched in this period that included a fully loaded ZXi+ variant loaded with features such as SmartPlay infotainment system, SHVS hybrid system offered on the diesel variant and a sporty RS variant.
However, the fully loaded variant ZXi+ missed out on the automatic transmission offered with the VXi and ZXi trims. Maruti Suzuki has decided to fill this gap as it is launching the Ciaz ZXi+ automatic variant which is expected to create a buzz among buyers and will give a tough time to competitors such as the Honda City.
The Maruti Ciaz ZXi+ AT variant will be equipped with a lot of features such as keyless entry and a start/stop button, projector headlamps, touchscreen SmartPlay infotainment system with navigation and voice command and leather seat upholstery. The ZXi+ automatic will be launched at a price of Rs. 10,35,206/- (ex-showroom, Goa).
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is powered by a 1.4-litre, petrol engine that produces 91 BHP while mated to a 4-speed automatic gearbox and a 5-speed manual gearbox while the diesel motor is a 1.3-litre, DDiS unit that produces 89 BHP and 200 Nm of torque, paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox.
Maruti Ciaz ZXi+ AT
– The fully loaded ZXi+ variant is about to get an automatic gearbox that was previously offered with the VXi and ZXi trims only
