The Honda Activa left the Hero Splendor behind while bikes like the Glamour, CB Shine and Passion have registered positive growth and the Pulsar has replaced the CT 100 on the last spot.
After the stressful December, January looks like the sun peeping out of the clouds on a very rainy day. Almost all the two-wheelers have recovered and the chart has seen a positive movement. The Honda Activa finally overtook the Hero Splendor by selling 2,10,123 units in January which is 20.65 percent more than the 1,74,154 units in December.
On the second place is the defeated king of the Indian market, the Hero Splendor with a sale of 1,99,354 units which does not seem bad compared to the 1,84,856 units of December. The Hero HF Deluxe continues to be in the third spot by registering a sale of 1,07,272 units which is a 14.79 percent jump from the 93,451 units of December.
The Hero Passion has climbed up a step by replacing the TVS XL Super on the fourth spot with 80,261 units at a staggering growth rate of 43.93 percent, however, the CB Shine has done even better than the Passion by achieving a growth of 49.98 percent by selling 76,562 units against the 51,047 units of December. This growth is a gift from the newly launched Shine SP.
The Hero Glamour is on the sixth place with 63,009 units followed by the TVS XL Super at 53,849 units with a fall of 4.73 percent compared to the 56,521 units in December. The Hero Maestro also registered a fall of 7.84 percent by selling 48,002 units while the Jupiter is on the same spot with 42,838 units. The last spot is acquired by the Pulsar replacing the CT 100 with a sale of 33,183 units which is 28.65 percent more than December sales.
