The A6 station wagon with special off roading package and Quattro all-wheel drive system is what the A6 allroad Quattro is. It combines the go-anywhere capability of an SUV with the driving dynamics of a luxury sedan.
The Audi A6 allroad Quattro is an estate which provides the luggage carrying capacity and off-roading capability of an SUV with comfort and refinement of a luxury sedan. Showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo, it is a nice attraction at the carmaker’s pavilion. It is equipped with Audi’s legendary Quattro all-wheel drive system along with an air suspension system which automatically lowers the car at higher speeds to help reduce aerodynamic drag. The car sports Audi’s MMI infotainment system and four-zone climate control. The estate comes loaded with features such as power tailgate, panoramic sunroof and a 505-watt Bang & Olufsen audio system.
The A6 allroad is offered with a 2.0-liter TFSI turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine which makes 220 BHP of power. It is mated to an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The wagon weighs a hefty 1769 kilograms and has a ground clearance of 180 mm. The car can achieve 0-100 km/hr within 7 seconds. It retails for around $40,000 (Rs. 27.20 lakhs) in international markets but if launched in India, it will cost a lot more. Chances of launch are extremely bleak considering the non-popularity of station wagons in India.
