The Tata Bolt Sport has been showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo and it comes with a lot of visual changes, apart from the powerful Revotron engine in a higher state of tune.
Tata Motors has put on display the Bolt Sport at the ongoing 2016 Auto Expo. The vehicle was first revealed at the Geneva Motor Show last year. While the regular Bolt is already a handsome car, the Bolt Sport looks smashing with all the cosmetic upgrades that it has received. There are new bumpers, air dam, grille, 17-inch alloy wheels, rear spoiler, side skirts, air scoops on the fenders, lower bumper lip and a lot more.
The Bolt is powered by a 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged petrol engine and the Bolt Sport gets the same engine in a revised set up. It gets a bigger turbocharger, remapped ECU and a high-flow exhaust system. Thus, the car produces 120 HP of power and 170 Nm of torque, mated to the same 5-speed manual transmission. The gear ratios are also tweaked, thus churning out the maximum possible performance from the vehicle.
The interiors also get quite a few changes. The layout remains the same but there are sporty bits added such as contrast stitching on seats, sports pedals, sunroof, all-black upholstery, etc. The suspension also gets major tweaks and is more track-focussed now. The Bolt also gets upgrades to its braking system with a performance brake upgrade kit and new brake pads. There is a possibility of Tata Motors launching the Bolt Sport in India and it might even come with the same diesel engine in a higher state of tune, producing 90 PS of power.
