You may call 2016 as the year of SUVs since we are about to witness triple the amount of SUVs launched in India as compared to 2015. There are not only new models but also new brands entering the Indian shores for the first time. Right from the entry level compact SUV segment from Mahindra to the ultra luxurious Bentley, there are more than 30 contenders for the SUV space in 2016. Most of them will be revealed at the upcoming and much awaited 2016 Auto Expo in February. In spite of the Indian government imposing heavy taxes on utility vehicles, manufacturers are not ready to lose hope in this space and so is the Indian buyer for the craze of SUVs.
