The new Audi A6 35 TFSI petrol joins its diesel counterpart in the country and gets LED headlights and tail lights instead of the Matrix lights setup.
Joining its diesel counterpart, Audi India has officially launched the 2015 A6 facelift 35 TFSI petrol variant in the country priced at Rs. 45.90 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi and Mumbai). Retaining all the features that were seen on the new A6 diesel, the petrol version misses out on the Matrix lights and gets LED headlights and tail lights instead with dynamic turn indicators. The styling on the facelifted petrol model continues to be sharp with the single-frame grille, angular headlamp cluster, restyled bumpers and new trapezoidal shaped exhausts.
Powering the 2015 Audi A6 35 TFSI is a 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol motor that replaces the 2.0-litre unit and is tuned to produce 190 HP of power, paired to a 7-speed S tronic automatic transmission as standard. This same motor powers a host of other models in the Volkswagen Group and comes with Auto Start-Stop system with energy recovery for improved fuel economy figures. As a result, the A6 facelift is 12.7 percent more fuel efficient returning an ARAI certified 15.26 km/l, while the power output has also improved by 5 percent.
Other features remain the same on the Audi A6 35 TFSI as its diesel version with the interior kitted up with four-zone automatic climate control, electrically adjustable front seats, Milano leather upholstered seats, ambient lighting, Audi Parking System Plus, Audi Sound system, new MMI system with retractable screen, cruise control and much more. The driving fun has been enhanced with the electromechanical power steering, adaptive air suspension with controlled damping and Audi drive select. The new A6 also comes with 8 airbags, two of which are dedicated to the rear seats.
