Ferrari is operating in India from two dealerships located in Mumbai and Delhi that have commenced accepting bookings with its first model being the entry-level California T convertible.
Ferrari may not have had a great first innings in India with erstwhile importer Shreyans Group, but that’s a thing of the past now as the iconic car maker from Maranello has made a re-entry in the Indian market launching its most affordable offering the California T convertible with a base price of Rs. 3.45 crores (ex-showroom Mumbai). The automaker is operating in the country from two dealerships located in Mumbai and Delhi respectively.
Ferrari India’s operations in Mumbai are being handled by the famous Navnit Motors located in Bandra Kurla Complex, whereas Select Cars located in Mohan Industrial Estate will be addressing to customer needs in Delhi. Both the dealerships will be offering sales and service support to new and existing customers including Roadside Assistance.
Coming to Ferrari’s lineup in India, the most affordable California T is a convertible finding its roots back to the 1950s and is the automaker’s entry-level offering globally. The convertible gets a retractable hard top made from aluminium which takes just 14 seconds to open and close. In terms of power, the California T uses a 3.9-litre Bi-turbo V8 engine with forced induction and is tuned to produce 552 HP of power at 7500 RPM and 755 Nm of torque at 4750 RPM, paired to a 7-speed F1 dual clutch automatic transmission.
The Ferrari California T has a kerb weight of 1729 kgs with a weight distribution of 47 percent front and 53 percent rear, and gets carbon ceramic brakes for effective stopping power. The smallest Ferrari is capable of doing the 0-100 km/hr run in 3.6 seconds and is capable of hitting a top speed of 315 km/hr. The California T also comes with F1 TRAC system for enhanced stability and traction.
