Mahindra is building up the excitement levels for its next big offering the TUV300 and has teased the steering wheel of the small SUV that comes with mounted controls.
While the previous spy shots have already given us a fair idea as to how Mahindra’s upcoming TUV300 will turn out to look, the Indian auto giant has now teased the interior of the upcoming small SUV ahead of the official launch on 10th September. The new teaser reveals the multi-function steering wheel completely that is finished in black with a brushed silver lining for a premium look. The sizeable unit comes with controls for the audio system and Bluetooth telephony confirming these features at least on the higher spec trims.
You also get a glimpse of the instrument cluster in the background that comes with a twin-dial unit with chrome bezels with all the tell tale lights located between the pods. We also noticed that the rev counter redlines at almost 5000 RPM, while there will also be electrically adjustable ORVMs on offer. Further, the Mahindra TUV300 gets dual tone interiors finished in beige and black with brushed silver inserts across the cabin to keep the premium quotient high. The seats are likely to be finished in fabric and the vehicle will be a 7-seater in a 2+3+2 seating layout with jump seats in the third row.
Coming to the powertrain, the Mahindra TUV300 will draw power from a downsized mHawk 80 diesel engine. While performance figures are yet to be revealed on this motor, it is a given that the engine will come paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox, whereas an AMT unit could be on offer as well. The company had confirmed early on that there won’t be an AWD variant available at the time of launch. The TUV300 is being positioned as a rugged True Blue SUV by Mahindra that will take on the Ford EcoSport with highly competitive prices. The vehicle will also be loaded on features to keep the VFM quotient high.
