After the recent news where the alloy wheel of an RS 200 broke, another incident has come to light and this time the handlebar has broken into two pieces caused by an impact.
Yesterday we reported about a shocking incident of how a Bajaj Pulsar RS 200’s alloy wheel broke while undergoing a hard braking situation. In another incident that has come to light, the handlebar of another RS 200 has broken into two pieces. The picture of the yellow bike shows the broken handlebar which was caused due to an impact. Also, when you notice the picture of the red bike with a close eye, you see that even in that case the handlebar has broken. The handlebar in the Pulsar RS 200 is made of cast aluminium which is meant to break on high impact. Two reported incidents of similar damages in a fairly new product coming within a day’s time does come as a surprise.
What remains to be seen is how Bajaj reacts to such issues. We really hope the company acknowledges these issues right to the root. The company needs to check both its manufacturing process as well as the quality of materials that are used and rectify them in newer models of the Pulsar RS 200. We are pretty sure that present owners of the RS 200 must have lost some confidence in the bike after reading such posts so it would be great if Bajaj releases official communication to all their customers and even issue a recall.
We hope such instances don’t become too common. The Tata Nano had faced a lot of backlash when a lot of incidents of the vehicle catching fire were reported. The Pulsar RS 200 was launched just a few months back and it has been a very popular bike in its segment. Buyers trust Bajaj a lot thanks to the company’s long presence in India. The breaking of the handlebar happened due to a crash and since no details about what exactly happened are available, we await more information on the same.
