Honda is testing the CBR650F in the country ahead of its launch scheduled for 4th August. The launch will be done simultaneously in eight cities and will be a big event.
Full faired bikes have been the first love of majority of riders in India. The way these machines grab attention and look the part attracts many riders to them. With the increasing popularity of superbikes in India, bike makers have been launching various models here. Soon, Honda will also be joining the bandwagon by launching the CBR650F which is a 649cc four-cylinder bike designed to excite enthusiasts. It is currently testing the bike in India and has also begun assembling one unit of the bike every day to be ready with thirty units at the time of launch.
The launch event of the Honda CBR650F would be a grand event to be held across eight cities namely Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Chennai, Indore and Ahmedabad simultaneously. In order to let customers attend the event, the Japanese brand has started a game competition on Facebook and the top 30 performers of the day would get passes to attend the Honda RevFest (name given to the CBR650F launch event). Apart from this, people taking test rides of various vehicles at Honda dealerships also stand a chance to win passes for the RevFest where different music artists would also be performing.
The strategy adopted by Honda seems to be right as it is trying to make the most of the hype around the CBR650F and are popularising the brand along with it. Top notch quality is what Honda is known for in the premium space and we expect the new bike to be no different. The 649cc four-cylinder engine is an extremely potent unit which puts out 86 BHP of power and 62 Nm of torque paired with a 6-speed gearbox. ABS will also be offered but as an option for an aggressive price. Considering how well priced competitor bikes are, Honda will have to price the CBR650F smartly to make it a success.
